Candidacy Announcement
David Prichard Announces Bid for Palatine Township Republican Committeeman
Pledges to Reenergize, Rebuild and Grow the Organization with Fresh Leadership, New Volunteers and Operating Excellence
Palatine, IL, November 3, 2025 -- Life-long Republican David A. Prichard, a 37-year resident of Palatine, today announced his candidacy for a 4-year term as Palatine Township Republican Committeeman with a vow to lead an exciting rejuvenation and rebuilding of the local Republican organization and to usher in an era of true conservative, principled, ethical and action-oriented grassroots operations.
“In discussions with area Republicans over the past year, especially while personally collecting more than 900 signatures at voters’ doors for my petition filing,” said Prichard, a retired Fortune 1000 corporate executive, “I have been concerned at the number of voters who said they feel our local organization is stagnant, unresponsive and in need of an overhaul.
“Moreover, the number of Republicans who are actually unaware there even is a local organization, and a committeeman leading it no less, is troubling and must be changed to grow again,” he added. “There is a languishing sense of detachment among some whom I talked with that must be addressed.
“On a more positive note, during my petition signature collection process in August, September and October, I am very happy to report that a number of Republicans expressed to me at the door an interest in volunteering, donating, and even becoming precinct or area captains,” Prichard revealed.
To that end, Prichard offers extensive grassroots experience, including some 8 years of combined Board level service in both the Palatine Township and Elk Grove Township Republican organizations. This includes volunteer training and education activities, canvassing training, funding improvements to the local Republican office, and heavy personal engagement in candidate races.
“As our area has admittedly turned purplish in recent years,” Prichard said, “I believe many Republican voters are hungry for a fresh, bold leadership team and volunteer corps to move the current, seemingly stagnant, go-through-the-motions organization into a new growth phase and a can-do, winning mode.
“What I really, really want to stress to people is that I have the time and the passion to lead this initiative, and I humbly ask my fellow Republican voters to give me that chance in a four-year term. I honestly think we can do much more, and we deserve so much more. We must turn the page to a new chapter. And I am ready and willing to serve.
“As your committeeman,” Prichard continued, “I pledge transparency and accountability for the greater good and will reject any self-serving, partisan, secret deals that may arise while I am in office, especially with Democrats as we saw a year ago. (See more here.) We will have functioning by-laws, regular Board meetings, and no vendor or supplier arrangements without a written, signed contract.
“I also will place a heavy focus on restoring the organization to financial health,” he added. “And I further pledge, as every candidate should obviously do for any office, that I will not use the Committeeman position for personal advancement or gain. That should go without saying.”
By way of background, Prichard offers deep experience in get-out-the-vote and campaign ground operations, which is the key responsibility of any local Republican organization.
He has knocked thousands of voters’ doors and planted hundreds of candidate yard signs across Palatine Township and neighboring areas. He is a past Cook County Republican election judge and poll watcher, has served as a deputy voter registrar since 2021, and been a donor to a number of local and state campaigns in recent years.
The 36-square-mile Palatine Township includes all or portions of Palatine, Inverness, Rolling Meadows, Hoffman Estates, Arlington Heights, Barrington, South Barrington, and Schaumburg.
