Our David Prichard for Palatine Township Republican Committeeman campaign is off and running on all cylinders -- and we want and need you to help in any way you can. We have a number of ways for you to volunteer as your schedule permits.

Our prichardforpalatinetownship.com website was launched a few weeks ago, we have hundreds of yard signs and business cards to distribute, and now we have a common sense, call-to-action walk card to share with Palatine Township Republican primary voters:

Are you ready for an enjoyable evening outing with fellow conservatives? We invite you to join us this Thursday, January 8 at the Palatine Park District’s Community Center, Room 1G, 250 East Wood Street from 6 pm to 8 pm for a fun-filled walk card bagging party. Stay for as long as you want. We will have pizza, salad and soft drinks as we unite as local patriots in our work to rejuvenate, rebuild and grow the Republican Party. Let’s enjoy ourselves while doing so!

Once we have the walk cards bagged, we ask for your help to knock Republican voter doors, leave literature with them and urge their vote for our candidacy on Primary Election Day, March 17, or during early voting from March 2-16. This is a large township to cover in a short period of time.

As you know, engaging voters at the door is a fundamental, highly effective and vital component of any successful political campaign. We will provide the literature bags and a printed walk sheet of specific Republican addresses to visit.

It was exciting to pick up our yard signs on December 26 from Awesome Campaigns in Elgin. We are busy fulfilling a growing number of requests for them.

We have plenty of yard signs. So please let us know if you would like one and encourage others in your contact sphere to request a yard sign on the website.

Looking ahead, we welcome any neighborhood gatherings and “Meet-and-Greets” you can host so we can talk personally with Republican voters and seek their input and suggestions. We can help you arrange such events.

What are other ways you can volunteer and help us be victorious on March 17?

• Plant signs in the early morning at the Palatine, Hoffman Estates and Rolling Meadows early voting sites during the 2-week voting period. In the case of Palatine, signs must be removed at the end of each voting day and replanted the next morning.

• March with us in the Palatine St. Patrick’s Day Parade. We anticipate it being on Saturday, March 14 starting at about 10:30 am. We are looking for a truck and/or vans that we can decorate and use in the parade. We need walkers to pass out literature along the parade route which runs from Palatine Village Hall west to Durty Nellies, perhaps a leisurely 35-40 minute walk. This parade, just 3 days before Primary Election Day, offers significant exposure for our campaign. So please let us know if you, family members and friends can walk with us. Let’s have a LARGE entourage to wave and talk with parade onlookers. It’s a lot of fun.

• Plant large, 2-foot by 4-foot signs at major Township intersections on Saturday and Sunday, March 14 and 15 when village regulations allow it.

• On Election Night eve, Monday, March 16, plant yard signs at some Election Day polling places closest to where you live. There will likely be up to 40 polling places we need to cover.

You can see there is much to do in the next 10 weeks! Whew!

In closing, I want to emphasize to voters again that I am passionate about leading a revival and new chapter of growth for our Township Republican organization as a true conservative, principled and action-based community force.

I have the time, the resources, the know-how, and the experience to do so. I thought long and hard about this candidacy before deciding to run last spring. We know there is much that can be done, and that Republican voters deserve better. While gathering ballot petition signatures last fall, I met many Republican voters who said they want to get involved in our effort.

Thank you for your support and your prayers to date. I am grateful. It means a lot to me.
